Why Resize Images?
Oversized images slow down web pages, waste storage, and cause problems when sharing via email or messaging apps. Resizing lets you tailor each image to its intended use — a hero banner, social media post, avatar, or email attachment.
Our tool offers three resize modes to cover every scenario. Percentage mode scales images proportionally — perfect for quick reductions. Locked aspect ratio lets you set a target width while keeping proportions intact. Free mode gives you full control over both dimensions.
Everything runs in your browser using the Canvas API. No files are uploaded, no accounts are needed, and your images remain completely private. Ideal for designers, developers, content creators, and anyone who works with images regularly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are my images uploaded to any server?
No. All resizing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded or stored anywhere — they stay on your device.
Which image formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, and WebP files are supported. The output format matches the input — a JPEG stays a JPEG, a PNG stays a PNG.
What resize modes are available?
Three modes: Percentage (scale by %, e.g. 50% halves the dimensions), Locked aspect ratio (set a width, height adjusts automatically), and Free (set width and height independently).
Can I resize multiple images at once?
Yes. You can drop up to 50 images at once. Each image is resized individually, and you can download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.
Can I upscale images?
Yes. In percentage mode you can scale up to 500%. Note that upscaling uses browser interpolation and won't add detail beyond the original resolution.
Does resizing reduce image quality?
Downscaling always produces a sharp result. JPEG and WebP outputs use 92% quality to maintain fidelity. PNG output is always lossless.
