Why Merge PDFs?

Combining multiple PDFs into one makes documents easier to share, print, and archive. Instead of sending five separate files, send one polished document with everything in the right order.

Our merger uses pdf-lib to copy pages losslessly — there is no re-encoding, no image recompression, and no quality degradation. The merged file contains the exact same pages as your originals, byte for byte.

Everything runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No server uploads, no registration, no waiting. Your documents stay private, and the merge completes in seconds even for large files.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to any server?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your documents are never uploaded, inspected, or stored by any server — they stay on your device from start to finish.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no hard limit. You can merge as many PDF files as your browser's memory allows. We've tested with dozens of files and hundreds of pages without issues.

Can I reorder the files before merging?

Yes. Drag and drop files in the list to rearrange them, or use the up/down arrows. The final PDF will follow the order you set.

Will the merge affect the quality of my PDFs?

No. We use pdf-lib to copy pages losslessly — there is no re-encoding, no image recompression, and no quality loss. The merged PDF contains the exact same pages as the originals.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

We attempt to open encrypted PDFs with the ignoreEncryption flag. Files with weak or owner-only passwords will usually work. Files with strong user passwords may fail — remove the password first using a PDF unlock tool.

What is the maximum file size supported?

There is no server-imposed limit since everything runs in your browser. Practical limits depend on your device's available memory. Files up to several hundred megabytes typically work fine on modern devices.
